Personal Description: I am 32 years old and have recently relocated to Bromsgrove from Cheshire. I am an experienced primary teacher.

Tutoring Experience: I have been teaching for nearly 10 years at schools in Cheshire and the West Midlands. During this time I have taught children in all Year groups in Key Stage 2, including children with identified special educational needs and those deemed to be 'Gifted and Talented'. I have significant experience preparing Year 6 children for their end of Key Stage tests and I have also individually tutored pupils in preparation for these tests and also for their transfer to secondary school.

Tutoring Approach: I believe that all children have an entitlement to succeed and that individual tuition can enable many children to progress. As a tutor I would ensure that I rapidly assessed a pupil's knowledge, understanding and skills in a particular area and used this information to identify key targets for the child to achieve in the short and long term. I would use my extensive experience and teaching resources to plan carefully to address key weaknesses and to provide the pupil with the necessary building blocks to achieving at a higher level in future.
