Information About Tom
Personal Description: I recently graduated with a degree in law from Christ’s College, Cambridge. My interests include current affairs and politics, law, legal and political philosophy, literature, poetry, psychology, cooking and music.
Enhanced CRB check will be available by September.
Tutoring Experience: I have some private tutoring experience. The University of Cambridge employs a tutorial style teaching method, as such I have been tutored one-on-one and in small-groups by leading academics. I will be teaching A level law at a large sixth form college from September 2008.
Tutoring Approach: I shall tutor to the needs of the student as ascertained upon introduction. Generally my style is discursive and discussion focused with a view to developing good understanding and a sound critical approach. At A-level and GCSE my tutorials will be exam orientated; I will give advice on how to revise effectively and succeed in the exam. I am prepared to set and give feedback on written work.
Having been through the University admissions process I am able to advise on university admissions, choice of law courses, Oxbridge applications and interviews and sitting the LNAT (National Admissions Test for Law).
I am available to tutor anywhere in Tyne & Wear accessible via public transport.
