Personal Description: I am a recent graduate, having studied Maths at Jesus College, Cambridge. Before that I attended a local comprehensive school taking my GCSE's and a science-based selection of A-levels, including Maths and Further Maths.

I am currently taking a gap year, so am available for regular tutoring until the end of November, and then from April onwards.

I hope to teach in the future, and have gained a place on the Teach First scheme next year, teaching Maths in a secondary school in London.

Tutoring Experience: I have tutored students towards their A-levels and GCSE's in previous holidays, and have also done volunteer work in schools near Cambridge during term time. Whilst at school I spent a lot of time tutoring friends on an informal basis. Recent tutoring means that I have maintained a good knowledge of the maths syllabus for GCSE and A-level.

Tutoring Approach: Everyone who studies maths has different problems understanding different areas of the subject - I feel my tutoring experience has helped me to realise at an early stage the key problems for each pupil so that I can adapt my tuition accordingly.

Maths can often feel completely overwhelming and so I like to break subjects into small manageable parts that can be understood and practiced before moving on to deal with other new ideas.
