Personal Description: As a part-time science tutor for the last 5 years, initially, in between my studies and now for the satisfaction that it gives me, I have developed a natural knack and love for teaching. This has been shown over the years by the success that I have had with my various students, who ranged from primary to A level and have gone on to improve their grades, in the case of re-sits, or have managed to get into the universities or schools of their choice as a result of our teaching sessions.

Tutoring Experience: 5 years private home tutoring experience, and worked briefly as a supply teacher after my first degree.

Tutoring Approach: It is mostly student-guided. As usually it is only an hour that we have, in order to maximise the time I ask the student to tell me specific areas of problems and we concentrate on those. If it is a retake pupil who has to work through a syllabus we go through the syllabus concentrating on a topic a week, and I set them homework to practice what we have gone through during the lesson in greater detail. Towards exams we mainly go over past papers and concentrate on exam technique and ways in which to answer questions that the examiner will be looking for.

Qualifications:

• MBChB University of Warwick (2007), BSc. Biochemistry and Biology (1999), 5 years experience of private tuition.
