Personal Description: I am a 32 year old teacher, living in Haverfordwest with my two children. I have a degree in Environmental Science and worked as a Water Quality Scientist before completing my PGCE and qualifying to teach in 2009. My course covered the entire primary age range so I can teach every subject at primary level. I am also competant to teach up to GCSE level in Maths and Science.

Tutoring Experience: As a qualified teacher I have experience teaching across the entire primary age range; Foundation Phase, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I have taught a nursery / reception class, a year 1 class, and in years 5 and 6. I am currently teaching science to all the junior children (years 3 through to 6) part time in a local school. I have also worked as a learning support assistant, teaching small groups of children with special educational needs various support programmes such as accelerated literacy.

Tutoring Approach: I believe that individualised learning is vital in order to maximise the learning potential of every child. The joy of private tutoring is the ability to tailor the learning specifically to the academic needs and learning style of that particular child. With a recent qualification I have up-to-the-minute methods and curriculum knowledge to enable me to help pupils think and learn as well as giving them the tools to become independant learners outside of my lesson time.
