Personal Description: I'm currently on a 1st Class Honours Degree reading my second year of Physics at Imperial College London.

Coincidentally English is my mother tongue, although the name suggests differently;)

Tutoring Experience: I had 6 months of tutoring experience last year, helping my tutee in his build up to the Maths and Physics AS level exams. We met for 4 hours per week, and I learned a great deal about explaining concepts from many different angles to ensure the tutee thoroughly understood his work.

Tutoring Approach: My most profound experience of GCSEs and A-levels was the change in the attitude of teaching. In the years leading upto the GCSEs I found lessons primarily focused on learning facts to pass exams. Whereas A-levels were more concerned with how all those facts worked together in conjuction and the effects that followed. This has strengthened my belief that a good education is to not only learn facts but more importantly to try and understand their derivation and how they can be applied to a broad range of problems.
